Manchester Grand Hyatt - San Diego, CA

This is one of our family favorite Hyatts.  Of course that is also because we were
upgraded to a two bedroom suite that included a living room, a dining area, a
kitchen, an office, and an extra master  bathroom during our last stay there.
Would it still have been  our favorite Hyatt had it not been for the upgrade?
The answer is probably still yes!   Our first time at this propertywas mainly for
business, and we stayed in a standard room.  Did we enjoy it just as much?
Yes, we did.  This Hyatt property had a very grand victorian style entrance
and an elegantly modeled lobby big enough for a good size wedding party.
This would be a beautiful place for a wedding if you are planning on
having one soon.  There are plenty of ballrooms or event rooms to suit
your style and accomodate your guest.  There is also an outdoor roman style
swimming pool large enough for those other special occasion or business party.
Seaport Village is just behind the property, just step out the door and it is
about 2 minutes away.  There are plenty of seafood restaurants in the Village
if youare hungry for seafood.  Also, very conveniently located across the
street is a train station (the Red Line is what we took for a leisure ride around
town).  For those who enjoy the night life, there is plenty of that too.  The
famous Gaslamp district is about a five minute drive from the hotel itself.
For those who are have a convention to attend, it is also just a ten minute
walk from the hotel.  All these convenience and more!  We also enjoyed
the pedal bikes around the city and a half a day visit to Balboa park (loaded
with about twenty museums).  If you have a toddler boy, make sure to take
him to visit the train museum at Balboa Park or the aircraft carrier at the
Midway Museum. Or, if you are an amusement park family, there is always
Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, or Legoland.  within driving distance of the hotel.
