Hyatt Palm Springs, CA

Hot desert weather is what we experienced here at this Hyatt property in
Palm Springs, CA.  The property itself was between a 3 1/2 to 4 star hotel
, not one of our top rating Hyatts. It was clean and well kept, however
the property itself was not very big and did not have much in terms of
activities.  It was just the basic hotel, although the room was a suite larger
than a standard size hotel room.  Our trip to this location did turned out
to be quite a tourist-type vacation.  We were pleasantly surprised that
we were in the center of restaurant and shopping row at this spot.
I enjoyed shopping at a shop down the street called Lush Couture on
Palm Canyon Dr. (everything was $15 or less), and I got compliments
at work when I wore the clothing I bought there.  A definitely recommendation
for food was Pepper Thai Restaurant on the same street.  This
place was very accomodating and even offered brown rice.  Food
was very tasty for a budgety price.  For the adventurers, there is always
hiking or the aerial tram through the canyons of Palm Springs.  For
those who like to relax, there are plenty of spas around town.  For the
gamblers, there are a few casinos near by.  For the naturalist, there are
a few botanical gardens, art museums, or a round of golf in the area.
For the movie fans, Palm Springs is also the spot to enjoy the
International Film Festival. Needless to say, there are activities to
accomodate the whole family.
